CORRIGENDUM

Subject: Data Structure for preparation of quarterly statements of Tax Deducted at Source from "Salaries" (Form No. 24Q) in computer media for the last quarter of the financial years (quarter ending 31st March).

The data structure for preparation of returns of tax deducted at source from "Salaries" in Form No. 24Q for the last quarter, as amended by notification S.O. 704 (E) dated 12th may, 2006, notified on 22 May 2006 is hereby amended.

2. In the section pertaining to "TDS Statement for Salary category (Salary Detail - Chapter VI A Details), in the Note below the section, the following line shall be deleted :
"There will be separate line items for each Section. Eg 80C will have one line item (if applicable). Similarly there will be line items for 80CCC and 80CCD"
