NOTIFICATION No 12 (RE-2008)/2004-2009

S.O. (E)            In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with Para 1.3 and Para 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009, the Central Government hereby makes, with immediate effect, the following amendments to the Notifications No.4 (RE-2008)/2004-09 dated 11th April, 2008 read with Notification No.5 dated 15th April, 2008:

2.         The entry at Sl. No. 72A, Chapter 25, under Schedule 2 of ITC (HS) Classification of Export and Import Items stands amended as follows:-

Not permitted to be exported. 

 

(i)                     However, this restriction shall not apply to supplies of Cement from Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) to units in Special Economic Zone (SEZ) or SEZ Developers/Co-Developers for use within the SEZ only.

 

(ii)                 The existing ban on export of cement and cement clinker shall not be applicable to export to Nepal.
