Notification   No.  86 /2008-CUSTOMS 

G.S.R  532  (E)  -  In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of 1962), the Central Government, being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest so to do, hereby directs that each of the notifications of the  Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), specified in column (2) of the Table below, shall be amended or further amended, as the case may be, in the manner  specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table, namely :-

In the said notification,  in the opening paragraph, in condition (vii),in the first proviso, after the  words and figures, "both dated 10.06.03", the following figures, letters and words, shall be inserted :-

"32/99-CE dated 8.7.1999, 33/99-CE dated 8.7.1999, 8/04-CE dated 21.1.2004, 20/07-CE dated 25.4.2007,56/02-CE dated 14.11.2002,57/02-CE dated 14.11.2002, 71/03-CE dated 9.9.2003, 56/03-CE dated 25.6.2003 , 39/01-CE dated 31.7.2001.

In the said notification,  in the opening paragraph, in condition (10),in the first proviso, after the  words and figures, "both dated 10.06.03", the following figures, letters and words, shall be inserted :-

 

"32/99-CE dated 8.7.1999, 33/99-CE dated 8.7.1999, 8/04-CE dated 21.1.2004, 20/07-CE dated 25.4.2007,56/02-CE dated 14.11.2002,57/02-CE dated 14.11.2002, 71/03-CE dated 9.9.2003, 56/03-CE dated 25.6.2003 , 39/01-CE dated 31.7.2001.".

Note -  (i) The Principal notification No.93/2004-Customs, dated the 10th September, 2004 was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (1) vide number G.S.R 606 (E), dated the 10th September, 2004 and was last amended by notification No70/2008-Customs, dated the 19th May, 2008 vide number G.S.R 389 (E), dated 19th May, 2008.

 

(iii) The Principal notification No.94/2004-Customs, dated the 10th September, 2004 was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (1) vide number G.S.R 607 (E), dated the 10th September, 2004 and was last amended by notification No.70/2008-Customs, dated the 19th May, 2008 vide number G.S.R 389 (E), dated 19th May, 2008.
